Production Manager – Capsule Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & ExecutionDevelop and implement production plans in coordination with relevant departments.Ensure timely completion of production targets with optimum resource utilization.2. Operational ManagementSupervise daily production activities, ensuring strict compliance with SOPs and GMP guidelines.Oversee capsule shell production, sorting, printing, and packing processes.3. Process & Quality MonitoringMonitor capsule quality throughout the production cycle and ensure adherence to QC standards.Maintain correct environmental conditions (temperature and RH) to preserve capsule quality.4. Material & Resource ManagementEnsure availability of raw materials and consumables to avoid production delays.Maintain stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.5. Documentation & ComplianceEnsure proper documentation in accordance with GMP, ISO, and regulatory requirements.Maintain audit-ready records and ensure process compliance at all times.6. Cross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate closely with departments such as Gelatin, Quality Control, Sorting, and Printing to meet production goals.Resolve interdepartmental bottlenecks to maintain smooth operations.7. Team Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise and guide the production workforce.Prepare shift schedules, monitor performance, and provide training where required.Ensure discipline, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.8. Issue ManagementIdentify and troubleshoot production issues promptly to minimize downtime.Implement corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.9. Stakeholder CommunicationCommunicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers when needed.Prepare and submit regular production reports to senior management.Academic Qualifications:B.Sc. in Industrial Production, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.Additional industry-specific training or certifications will be an advantage.Experience Requirements:Minimum 15 years of experience in capsule shell manufacturing (mandatory).Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Proven experience leading large, multi-layer production teams.Strong hands-on exposure to modern technologies and processes used in capsule manufacturing.Key Competencies:Strong communication skills (English – verbal & written)Effective leadership and team management skillsStrong analytical and reporting abilitiesExcellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure with strict deadlines
