  • Ensure all quality standards are met, i.e. right material components being run on the right lines, etc.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments such as rework, hand stacking, etc.
  • Participate on Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve areas of waste.
  • Assist with the training and certification program as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Production Operator – D Shift (Weekend Days)
  • Thursday - Friday 5:30am – 2:00pm; and Saturday – Sunday 5:30am – 5:30pm
  • The hourly wage for this position is $23.40, plus $1.25/hour shift dif.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Safely operate manufacturing equipment to produce quality products. Understand production requirements and perform all associated physical and operational activities. Work cooperatively with employees to fulfill all line responsibilities each shift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*denotes essential job functions):

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Zero (0) to six (6) months experience working in a highspeed manufacturing environment.

PREFERED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or vocational certificate.
  • Lean Manufacturing training and/or certification.
  • Experience/certified with CPR and First Responder. Participation in a safety committee.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc. 
  • Must have ability to communicate clearly in English – verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.

REQUIRED TRAINING:

Candidates are required to complete all necessary trainings within the defined introductory period.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The operations is not in a climate controlled environment.  Candidates will be exposed to the seasonal temperature variations.  All candidates will be required to abide to all PPE standards and department dress code.
