What you'll do
- Oversee subassembly production activities, ensuring compliance with defined quality requirements, approved manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain inspection plans, quality checklists, control plans, and verification procedures in close collaboration with Engineering and Production teams.
- Lead and support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and other risk assessment activities to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate production and quality risks.
- Investigate production issues and non-conformances, perform structured root cause analysis, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor key production and quality indicators, including yields, process capability, defects, rework trends, and quality escapes, identifying improvement opportunities and early warning signals.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of operator self-verification, in-process inspections, material handling, equipment calibration, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements throughout production.
- Support production readiness and change management activities, ensuring that quality requirements, verification processes, and outstanding non-conformances are appropriately addressed before implementation.
- Partner closely with AIT Engineering, Production, Quality, and other technical teams to improve manufacturing processes, strengthen product reliability, and promote continuous improvement and quality ownership across production.

- Knowledge of quality and manufacturing standards and practices, including ESD/FOD control, cleanliness requirements and, ideally, ECSS, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or comparable high-reliability standards.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret production and quality metrics and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train, guide, and influence technicians and engineers across multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English, combined with a hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced production environment.
