The Professional Services Consultant ensures client success through strategic onsite and remote consultation, guiding higher education institutions through mission-critical initiatives and delivering technical solutions that directly support their data and reporting goals. This role requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to engage confidently at every level of a client organization, from end users to the C-suite. Success is measured by the quality of your deliverables, client satisfaction, and how far your work advances each institution's strategic objectives. 

How You'll Make an Impact 

• Engage and guide clients through discussions on mission-critical data and reporting initiatives, providing strategic recommendations that reflect both industry best practices and each institution's specific goals 

• Work with client leadership to influence project direction and priority, you bring a point of view and earn trust quickly 

• Generate contract deliverables including Statements of Work and time estimates, scoping work that's deliverable on time and within budget 

• Design dashboards, custom reports, and decision-support tools from client specifications, producing solutions that are accurate, reliable, and built to last 

• Develop database queries using T-SQL, PL/SQL, and ANSI/Oracle SQL, following department standards at every stage 

• Validate data accuracy and quality across all deliverables, nothing ships without your confidence in it 

• Document and test deliverables and write internal procedures that make the team more capable and consistent 

• Represent Evisions at trade shows and conferences and contribute thought-leadership content, reinforcing Evisions' reputation in the Higher Ed market 

• Support Sales and other departments as needed, you contribute wherever your expertise adds value 

• Use AI tools to accelerate query development, documentation, and the preparation of client-facing content, putting more of your time into the strategic conversations that need a person 

About You 

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of MAPS and Argos Datablock/Report Writer experience 

• Higher Education industry understanding required; Higher Education ERP data understanding preferred 

• 1+ year of project management experience 

• SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL required; proficient with SQL Developer or similar tools 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — finds solutions, not just workarounds 

• Excellent presentation development and delivery skills; comfortable engaging C-suite executives on strategic data and reporting needs 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate query development, documentation, and the preparation of client-facing content 
   

This position will report to the VP of Professional Services. 

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time. 

This is a security-sensitive position and requires a background check and will need to adhere to the Evisions Information Security Management System. 

Requires up to 30% travel; must have a current U.S. passport. Some travel may be required for company events, including but not limited to annual kickoffs, team offsites, and client-facing engagements. 

Remote work: This is a remote position. Evisions currently employs remote employees in AZ, CA, CT, FL, NJ, NY, TN, TX. Candidates must reside in one of these states at the time of employment.
