What you'll do
- Support the development and implementation of health promotion, disease prevention, and policy initiatives.
- Research evidence-based practices and use public health data to inform programs and strategies.
- Assist with community health assessments, behavioral health initiatives, and disease prevention programs.

- American Heart Association CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

- Knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention, behavioral change, epidemiology, community organizing, and group facilitation.
- Strong research, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Must meet Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy requirements if driving is required.

Job Description
The Program and Policy Specialist supports health promotion, disease prevention, and policy and systems change initiatives that improve the health of Eastern Jackson County communities. This role works with community partners to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives addressing identified public health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of health promotion, disease prevention, and policy initiatives.
