About this role

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. The Role

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Project Controls Engineer that will support in the management of construction schedules, cost tracking, reporting and document control to keep large-scale manufacturing and infrastructure projects structured and on track. You’ll work as an integrated part of the project engineering team; supporting engineering, procurement, construction. Reporting to the Project Control Director, you will be hands on in developing and maintaining project control systems to track project performance and provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how projects run in the real world and knows how to balance rigor with speed.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

  • Build and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, including earned value and variance analysis.

  • Monitor schedule and cost performance, identify risks and trends, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Maintain change control, including schedule impacts, cost impacts, and documentation.

  • Prepare clear, executive-ready reporting on schedule health, cost status, risks, and recovery plans.

  • Support contractor and vendor schedule reviews and progress validation.

  • Improve project controls processes, tools, and standards as the company scales.

Who You Are

  • A strong communicator who can translate numbers into insight.

  • Someone who takes ownership of outcomes, not just reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience from large capital projects within advanced manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

  • Hands-on experience building and managing schedules for complex projects using Primavera P6.

  • Experience in cost management during construction is a plus

  • Proficiency with scheduling and cost tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
