Automotive Project Manager

Job content:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer programs from concept/quotation phase through production launch and initial ramp-up.
• Support and lead customer meetings, technical reviews, gate reviews, and program status updates.
• Manage customer expectations proactively, escalating risks and issues in a timely and transparent manner.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure alignment on timing, cost, and technical requirements.
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and resolve conflicts in priorities or resources.
• Chair regular internal core team meetings and track open actions to closure.
• Align stakeholder expectations with program scope, timing, and budget throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide regular program status reporting to management and leadership teams.
• Track program budget, timing, and technical performance against targets (quality, cost, timing – QCT).
• Ensure program documentation is complete, current, and compliant with applicable standards (e.g., IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, ASPICE).
• Own and maintain all relevant program documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, risk logs, technical reviews, and gate review packages.
• Ensure traceability of decisions, changes, and approvals throughout the program lifecycle.
• Prepare and present program reviews to internal management and customers as required. 

Your profile:

• Senior Experience: 6+ years of experience in project/program management within the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 supplier environment).
• Educational Foundation:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics preferred).
• Solid understanding of automotive product development processes (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, IATF 16949, ASPICE).
• Experience managing programs from concept through SOP in a customer-facing role.
• EV/Hybrid Domain Knowledge: Specific experience in working with electrified/hybrid powertrains, including EV motors, Battery Management, and Hybrid/DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) powertrains is nice to have.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or automotive-specific program management certification is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and priorities.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, SAP) and standard documentation/reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to make data-driven decisions under time pressure.
• Willingness to travel to customer and supplier sites as required.
• Professional fluency in English is must.
