Project Resource Definition Geologist

As a Project Resource Definition Geologist within Northern Operations, you will play a pivotal role in unlocking the value of our orebodies through the delivery of high-quality geological data, resource definition programs, and insightful interpretations. Working on an 8/6 roster, you will provide the geological confidence required to support Mineral Resource estimation, mine planning, and strategic project decisions, helping drive safe, efficient, and sustainable mining outcomes

Role responsibilities:

• Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to WHS requirements, participating in inspections, and following company procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee project area surface resource definition drilling activities.
• Maintain the drilling schedule, design, and implementation of drilling programs.
• Monitor sample and assay quality, follow up QAQC issues.
• Monitor drilling progress, productivity, costs, and performance against targets.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all geology wireframes, including lithology, mineralisation and structural.
• Review project areas to identify resource extension opportunities and additional resources.

About the candidate:

• Qualification: Batchelor of Science (Geology) or equivalent
• C Class drivers manual license
• System experience: Leapfrog Geo.
• 4+ years' experience within the mining industry, ideally in a gold as a Resource Definition Geologist, Project Geologist, Exploration Geologist or similar technical geology role.
• Experience with RC and diamond drilling programs
• Demonstrated experience managing drilling programs and geological interpretations.
