About this role

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project & Risk Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will oversee key risk management, project coordination, and operational activities across our EMEA entities. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of our office in Amsterdam, providing operational support and overseeing facilities management. They will bring extensive expertise in risk frameworks, business continuity, environmental standards, and project management, ensuring our organisation maintains the highest standards of compliance and operational resilience.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Projects

  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects that impact the EMEA entities, ensuring seamless coordination and successful delivery of initiatives.

  • Monitor and follow up on recommendations from Internal Auditors, external auditors, professional advisors, and regulators to ensure timely logging, effective implementation, and ongoing compliance.

Risk Management (EMEA entities)

  • Maintain and oversee outsourcing register(s), ensuring regular reviews aligned with group policies to mitigate third-party risks.

  • Develop, update, and continuously improve Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to ensure preparedness and resilience.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute annual Business Continuity Plan testing to validate effectiveness and readiness.

  • Manage and maintain comprehensive incident management logs to monitor and respond to incidents swiftly.

  • Prepare and present periodic risk reports to governance bodies, supporting informed decision-making.

  • Lead and support other risk management activities as needed to uphold the organization���s risk posture and regulatory compliance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the ISO 14001 certification process, ensuring ongoing compliance with environmental management standards (London office only).

  • Oversee the daily operations and ensure the efficient running of the Amsterdam office.

  • Support the smooth functioning of the London office, contributing to a productive and well-organized environment.

  • Actively participate in key committees, including the Regional Finance & Operations Committee, Crisis Management Teams (CMTs)—serving as Secretary for the UK and Chair for the Netherlands—Regional Data Protection Committee, and EMS Committee (Chair/Coordinator).

  • Handle various ad hoc tasks and projects as required to support organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related discipline

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, risk management, compliance, or a similar role, ideally within a multinational or complex organisational environment

  • Extensive knowledge of risk management frameworks, business continuity planning, and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Understanding of operational risk and environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, with strong presentation and communication skills—both written and oral—and the ability to communicate effectively across borders

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to evolving organisational needs

  • Proficiency in office management and operational support, including overseeing functions in multiple location

  • Excellent command of both English and Dutch is essential.
