Job Title:          Site Manager (on-site) 

Reports To:     EMEA commissioning Lead

Function:         Service – Project Management

Location:         EMEA Wide

 

JOB SUMMARY

As Site Manager you will report to the Project Manager/Regional Leaders and be responsible for supporting all areas of project delivery and commissioning phase. As an integral part of the project day-to-day activities, you will assist with all aspects of scheduling, organizing, tracking work & progress reporting both internally and externally.

 

Working alongside a project delivery team (PM, Logistics, Subcontractors, Service, Client), you will be

incredibly driven, dependable and passionate about understanding and pre-empting project delivery

requirements, ensuring dependencies are unblocked.

 

The Site Manager will also be required to participate in a variety of areas including but not limited to the

following:

 

• Attend & represent at Site based meetings

• Regional resource planning

• Reporting on client-based snag and progress tracking systems

• Lead Installation & Commissioning teams allocating tasks, daily work loads etc. 

• Track & report progress reporting out to both internal and external stakeholders

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Working with the Project Manager to interpret and manage inbound OEM devices and site-based

activities 

• Maintaining schedules as required

• Report any problems/ risks uncovered to the Project Manager

• Attending meetings & reviews, taking concise and comprehensive notes, and passing information to the

team and client as required

• Arranging subcontractors and delivery teams as required

• Working with QA to ensure any issues are raised and noted

• Undertaking relevant on-the-job training where required and keep up-to-date with site requirements

• Instill a good H&S environment 

• Other tasks as project requires.

• Be a proactive member of the EMEA projects team and attend meetings as required.

• Assist in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, minimise inventory

and increase efficiency and profitability. 

• Improve management of sub-contract activity including maintenance of preferred supplier status and

performance measurement statistics, keeping subcontracts spend to a minimum.

 

TRAVELLING – The role includes extensive travel (circa 80%) within EMEA to support Project Deployment. Working with internal and external partners for the management of the full commissioning cycle from implementation through to final closure.

 

OTHER – The above duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and requirements of the role, and are not intended to be an exhaustive list. In order to achieve business objectives, other duties may be included at the discretion of the department Manager. Occasional help outside EMEA to assist other Regions with product emerging from the EMEA development structure.

Key external stakeholders:      Clients, Consultants, Contractors, End Users

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly organized and proactive, with excellent time management, planning & communication skills

• Fluent in Microsoft applications
