Provisional Licensure Specialist (K-12)

In this role, you will:

· Conduct ongoing research into primary sources relating to teacher licensure and certification policy across assigned states, tracking changes to alternative pathway requirements, testing mandates, and reciprocity agreements

· Monitor state department of education guidance and legislative updates affecting educator preparation program (EPP) approval and alternative route eligibility

· Synthesize licensure policy findings into internal reference guides and state-by-state comparison tools for staff and candidate use

· Build and maintain rapport with educator preparation programs (universities, alternative certification providers, EPPs) to identify partnership and pathway opportunities

· Research and vet new EPP options, evaluating program structure, accreditation status, cost, and state approval to determine fit for candidate pipelines

· Map teacher certification pathways by state, documenting requirements, timelines, and decision points for traditional, alternative, and emergency/provisional routes

· Continuously update pathway maps as state policy, EPP offerings, or internal program requirements evolve

· Partner with internal teams (recruitment, HR, curriculum, finance) to align pathway strategy with staffing needs and program goals

· Provide direct support to teacher pathway candidates and instructors, guiding them through licensure requirements, program milestones, and documentation needs

· Provide direct support to teacher pathway candidates as it relates to exam registration, educator preparation program enrollment, and completing other licensure requirements

· Draft licensure commitment letters outlining licensure requirements and program obligations to be sent to teacher pathway candidates

· Compile and maintain data on pathway participation, licensure outcomes, and program effectiveness to inform strategic decisions

· Handle inquiries, issue resolution, and documentation

· Track and report on key metrics

· Liaise with state departments of education and educator preparation programs to deliver credentialing outcomes

· Liaise with UI’s legal counsel to ensure compliance with laws and policies at the federal and state level

· Ensure clear communication between leadership and team members

· Lead and facilitate meetings

· Make data-informed decisions to support Specialty Services in adapting to meet key performance indicators

· Attend client meetings, as needed

· Complete other duties as required and assigned

$40 Hourly/ Expected Hours between 30 hours a week during the school yaer
