Job Title: Psychiatrist (MD / DPM) Department: Psychiatry Job Description We are looking for a qualified Psychiatrist (MD or DPM) to join our team in Calicut. The psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, managing OP and IP cases, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health care. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations. Diagnose and treat mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, psychosis, etc.). Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management. Provide counselling/psychotherapy or coordinate with psychologists for therapy. Manage inpatient and outpatient psychiatric cases. Handle psychiatric emergencies when required. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case records. Work collaboratively with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other departments. Educate patients and families about illness, treatment, and follow-up plans. Empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Requirements Qualifications MBBS with MD Psychiatry or DPM. Valid Kerala Medical Council / NMC registration.
