Job Summary:

As a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist, you will provide day-to-day psychosocial rehabilitation services that support individuals in achieving treatment goals and improving community functioning. You will facilitate educational and skill-building activities, assist with treatment plan implementation, coordinate client engagement opportunities, provide transportation as needed, and contribute to a positive, recovery-focused environment. This role combines direct client interaction, group facilitation, advocacy, and teamwork to help clients achieve greater independence and overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate psychosocial rehabilitation education sessions under the guidance of clinical leadership.
  • Plan, organize, and lead engaging groups, community outings, and therapeutic activities that support client recovery goals.
  • Advocate for clients and assist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform client orientation, education, referral coordination, recordkeeping, and team planning activities.
  • Build positive therapeutic relationships and serve as an encouraging role model for clients.
  • Transport clients and perform business-related travel using agency vehicles as needed.
  • Monitor the program environment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with program expectations.
  • Communicate observations and concerns with the treatment team to support quality client care.
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Support organizational goals and perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment experience required.
  • Knowledge of case management and psychosocial rehabilitation principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Understanding of mental health services, community resources, and challenges faced by individuals living with mental illness.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program responsibilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise documentation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of background screenings, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residency required.
  • Must attain Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or at the first available class following hire.
  • Must attain thirty-six (36) hours of training within a two-year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1.
  • Must attain required CPRC-specific credentialing and development requirements within designated timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and support recovery-focused services.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger van.

Physical Requirements

  • Perform sedentary work involving exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently.
  • Sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally walk and stand for brief periods as needed.
  • Perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements associated with typing, writing, and documentation.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move light objects as required in the performance of job duties.
