- Day-to-day supervision of the activities of the employees working in the slideline & post-wave production areas.
- Day-to-day organization of people, machines and processes within their area, so as to achieve pre-determined schedules.
- Focus on product quality, achieving delivery targets and improving production efficiency.
- People Management: Recruitment (including role definition, job description, selection matrix, interview).
- Performance monitoring and feedback (both formally and informally).
- Career Development (reviewing long-term developmental needs of reporting staff).
- Training (review of training needs based on individual and business needs so as to maximize employee flexibility).
- Communications (keeping team informed as to project activity, site initiatives, cross-functional initiatives and Moog news).
- Supervisory duties (scheduling vacation, verifying attendance, travel authorization, time keeping, motivation, coaching and discipline).
- Ensure staff adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines (e.g. use of personal protective equipment).
- Process Management: Ensure team focus on product quality improvement.
- Apply Lean principles to promote and improve work areas and flow (5S etc.).

The PTH Work Centre Team Lead is in charge of day-to-day supervision of the activities of the employees working in the slideline & post-wave production areas for which they are responsible. The PTH Work Centre Team Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day organization of people, machines and processes within their area, so as to achieve pre-determined schedules. In particular focus needs to be applied to product quality, achieving delivery targets and improving production efficiency. This is leadership position with approximately 7 reports.
In conjunction with their current responsibilities, the successful applicant will provide support to the area senior team lead and supervisor and their team mates by supporting:
People Management
- Recruitment (including role definition, job description, selection matrix, interview)
- Performance monitoring and feedback (both formally and informally)
- Career Development (reviewing long-term developmental needs of reporting staff)
- Training (review of training needs based on individual and business needs so as to maximize employee flexibility)
- Communications (keeping team informed as to project activity, site initiatives, cross-functional initiatives and Moog news)

Process Management and Continuous Improvement
- Production
- Ensure team focus on product quality improvement
- Apply Lean principles to promote and improve work areas and flow (5S etc.)
- Ensure working practices are compliant with procedures (Process documentation and workmanship requirements).
- Ensure that records (e.g. routers, maintenance documentation, defect records) are maintained.
- Ensure good materials control practices, including material handling & storage and transaction integrity are consistent with best practice.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve product and process performance in the workplace involving relevant groups such as Product, Process & Quality Engineering.
- Ensure output is as per on time delivery requirements of the business.
Planning
- Communicating status of production performance.
- Facilitate and support NPI builds & Production Readiness Reviews as scheduled.
Other responsibilities as required.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience.
Note: this role is subject to successful completion of a probationary period of 6 months.
