QA Software (Load & Performance) Test Engineer

What you'll do
- Design and execute load, stress, scalability, spike, and failover performance tests for HES/MDM product
- Create realistic test scenarios covering ZONOS API and Southbound API, VEE processing, MDUS / data ingestion flows, Device events, alarms, meter reads, topology, and profile data, Kafka/streaming pipelines, Database-heavy operations, ZCP user workflows where relevant
- Define performance KPIs such as response time, throughput, transactions per second, message ingestion rate, processing latency, CPU/memory usage, database load, Kafka lag, error rate, queue depth
- Maintain load test scripts using tools such as JMeter, k6, Simulator and Mock serve.
- Monitor performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
- Analyze bottlenecks across APIs, database queries, Kafka topics/partitions, backend services, VEE jobs, process engine, network and infrastructure, JVM/container resources
- Prepare detailed performance reports with findings, risks, recommendations, comparison with previous versions and release readiness conclusions.
- Work with QA, DevOps, backend developers, product owners, and customer delivery teams to define acceptance criteria and performance baselines.
