  • Determine inspection sample sizes and verify incoming material by using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Verify completed products are conforming to all internal requirements prior to customer shipment, including workmanship, cosmetic, and test verifications
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database and/or ERP system
  • Maintain inspection measurement and test tools so that results are not compromised
  • Follow defined standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
  • Use automated systems to perform complex inspection procedures
  • Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager
  • Issue non-conformance reports as needed and return to vendor when required
  • Provide feedback to the production team on issues seen during incoming inspections

Job Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine inspection sample sizes and verify incoming material by using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Verify completed products are conforming to all internal requirements prior to customer shipment, including workmanship, cosmetic, and test verifications
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database and/or ERP system

  • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a “US Person” (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees) 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of inspection techniques and inspection tools, gauges & equipment
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing ERP systems

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work on multiple projects within the same day
  • Follow directions, work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Works with a flexible schedule and demonstrates effective time management
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Able to interpret technical drawings and requirements
  • Knowledge of quality systems and techniques including auditing, process control, and inspection methods
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Training Requirements:  

  • IFS Overview
  • Hazardous Communications
  • Quality Systems

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • The use of Safety Glasses is required when working in production and lab areas in the facility.
  • Additional protection may be required while performing inspection near machines

Physical demands:

  • Physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of material up to 30 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, or move throughout the facility for extended periods

Work Environment:

  • Work to be performed in both a warehouse environment and in the manufacturing facility to perform inspection and gather materials and documents.
  • This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer.
  • Periodic supplier onsite inspection may be required.

  

Salary Range:

$44,500.00-$59,300.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
