Roles Available in Location: Worthing, GSK HQ

Education required:  Supply chain, Business, Management

Please read the degree requirements for each role carefully before applying.

Other requirements:  You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.

Duration: 1 year (approximately)

Salary:  A salary of £28,900 (London) or £26,400 (all other locations) plus a bonus.

Workplace Arrangements: Full time on site required

The Roles (2)

Role 1 – Quality Systems and Validation Compliance - Worthing
 

Degree Requirements: Supply chain, Business, Management

Workplace Arrangements: Full time on site required

Overview of the Department

The Quality Systems and Validation Compliance department is responsible for ensuring compliance to company processes and industry requirements and managing the lifecycle of our drug product from initial qualification through to ongoing commercial marketing. As an established product, this requires ongoing license maintenance with supplied markets, and qualification of new equipment and/or processes to improve manufacturing efficiencies.

Key Placement Learnings

• Work with other departments (Technical, Engineering, Operations) to support equipment qualification activities and projects.

• Write, review and approve validation lifecycle documentation and ensure they comply with relevant Good Manufacturing Practice and industry requirements.
• Facilitate the team tiered accountability meeting and identify improvements through the use of data analytics.
• Build knowledge of industry expectations for equipment and process validation.

Role 2 – Digital Quality Systems – GSK HQ
 

Degree Requirements: Open to all degrees

Workplace Arrangements: Flexible working via performance with choice (office and home working available)

Overview of the Department

The team is responsible for the business ownership and stewardship of digital quality systems that support R&D activities. Our role is to ensure these systems remain compliant, reliable, and aligned to business needs over time.  We focus on how systems are used in practice — driving adoption, managing change, and continuously improving how quality processes are enabled through technology. This includes shaping system enhancements, supporting inspection readiness, and ensuring solutions deliver sustained value rather than just initial deployment. The team works closely with both business and technical stakeholders to connect regulatory requirements, user needs, and digital capability.

Key Placement Learnings

During this placement, you will gain valuable experience in digital systems management, business analysis and continuous improvement within a regulated healthcare environment. Key learning opportunities include:

• Developing an understanding of how digital systems are managed and governed, including compliance requirements, validation processes and risk-based decision making.
• Building analytical and problem-solving skills by assessing system performance, reviewing user needs and identifying opportunities to enhance system effectiveness and user experience.
• Gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting, using system usage and performance insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strengthening stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills by working across business and technology teams to gather requirements, support testing activities and contribute to successful system enhancements.
• Enhancing communication skills through the translation of technical information and data insights into clear, practical recommendations and documentation for a variety of stakeholders.
• Learning about the full digital system lifecycle, from requirements gathering and impact assessments through to implementation, adoption, maintenance and ongoing optimization.
