A Day in the Life

Medtronic's Neuroscience portfolio is dedicated to helping people regain function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life through innovative therapies. Within Neuroscience, the Pelvic Health Operating Unit develops minimally invasive neuromodulation solutions that help patients manage bladder and bowel control conditions and achieve greater independence and confidence.

Located at Medtronic's headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, this role is onsite four days per week. Travel is not required for this role.

The Medtronic Singapore Operations (MSO) is responsible for delivering high-quality products through robust manufacturing, quality, and operational excellence processes. Within the Quality function, this role supports product and process quality activities across manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality system and regulatory requirements.

This position is based in Singapore and is an onsite role.

As a Quality Engineer II, you will support quality assurance and quality engineering activities to ensure products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards. You will partner with cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

  • Evaluate internal manufacturing processes upon receiving customer complaints.   

  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality

  • Develop, update and revise Quality Management System Document and ensuring compliance with standards, internal policies and regulations established by regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Engineering; OR Master's degree with no experience required.

  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing teams

  • Experience with quality investigations, data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.

  • Knowledge of quality systems and documentation requirements.

  • Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.

  • Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Experience supporting process validation, equipment qualification, or product reliability activities.
