About this role

Role Summary:
The Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials, components, and products meet quality requirements, customer specifications, and applicable standards. The role involves incoming inspection, supplier quality management, documentation review, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities to support manufacturing and assembly operations.


Responsibilities :

  •  Inspect incoming materials and components for physical defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Verify that incoming materials meet the required quantity and quality requirements.

  • Record, maintain, and communicate inspection results accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Create, review, update, and maintain incoming inspection sampling plans based on product criticality and supplier performance.

  • Ensure supplier Material Test Certificates (MTCs), quality records, inspection reports, and related documentation are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.

  • Review supplier quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and company requirements.

  • Work closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues related to incoming materials and components.

  • Lead supplier corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify the effectiveness of implemented actions.

  • Support production and assembly teams in resolving incoming material-related quality issues and implement mitigation actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain incoming quality control procedures, inspection plans, and quality standards.

  • Train, guide, and supervise quality inspectors to ensure consistent inspection practices and compliance with quality requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), supplier quality performance, and quality metrics.

  • Conduct internal audits and supplier quality assessments to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.



Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in manufacturing, metal-mechanical, valve, pump, or heavy engineering industries.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, and customer technical requirements.

  • Experience in supplier quality management, incoming inspection, and quality documentation review.

  • Proficient in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCA) methodologies and team-oriented problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop quality inspectors and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Hands-on experience with Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods, including:

  • Visual Testing (VT),   Magnetic Particle Testing (MT),   Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT),  Radiographic Testing (RT),  Positive Material Identification (PMI) and Hardness Testing
