What you'll do

  • Perform through inspection of composite parts and tools at various production stages using visual inspection, calipers, Go/no-go gauges and FARO Arm to identify surface defects and verify dimensional accuracy in accordance with engineering specification.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, part list and inspection sheets against CAD models to confirm part compliance and identify discrepancies.
  • Generate reports detailing deviation from engineering specifications and review with QA leads and production teams to trouble shoot issues
  • Documents inspection activities meticulously, including measurement results, non-conformances, observations and maintain quality records for traceability and audits.
  • Provide recommendations for improving task inspection procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiative within the team.
  • Work with Composites PM’s/Quality leads to assurer timely delivery of the purchased goods or meeting build schedules.
  • Handle composites parts, tools and material with care, strictly following MAMT’s health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of all measurement devices in use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area, in accordance with the 5s company standards assigned by the QA Lead.
  • Advise management of potential problems or concerns and any opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Quality Leads, Quality Manager, or General Manager.
  • Participate in MAMT’s continuous improvement activities.

Scope of Position:

Assure that MAMT delivers only the highest possible quality product.  Confirm that all materials purchased, produced, and shipped by MAMT are as per the engineering intent.  This includes dimensional integrity of all components and assemblies, certification of all materials and compliance to all applicable functional requirements.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$18.00 - $24.00
