About this role

Quality & Regulatory Affairs (QARA) Manager

Location: Hyderabad, India (hybrid)
Reports to: Head of Operations & Supply Chain
Level: Manager / Senior Manager
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience and certifications

About Quin

Quin is a safety-technology company. We embed sensor technology — crash detection, motion sensing, connectivity — into helmets and protective equipment as an ingredient brand, shipping inside products from leading partners across cycling, moto, sports and industrial PPE. Our engineering and operations centre is in Hyderabad, with a UK commercial HQ. As our products scale across EU and North American markets, we're growing our Quality & Regulatory Affairs function.

The role

As our QARA Manager, you own product quality and regulatory compliance across our hardware portfolio and every market we sell into. You are the single point of accountability for keeping Quin's products conformant, certified and audit-ready as we scale — and for turning regulatory rigor into a competitive advantage that accelerates partner launches.

What you'll own

Product regulatory compliance
  • Own conformity across our target markets: CE marking, EU Declarations of Conformity and technical files, and the directives and regulations that apply to connected, battery-powered devices.
  • Maintain the regulatory horizon calendar and keep the portfolio ahead of upcoming obligations and deadlines across markets.
Quality management
  • Own and evolve the QMS, supplier quality, and the product-quality processes behind our zero-defect delivery standard to partners.
Conformity documentation & certification
  • Own technical files, declarations, and labelling data; run certification programs and manage testing, notified-body and laboratory relationships.
Producer responsibility & registrations
  • Lead our extended-producer-responsibility and market-registration obligations, working with Operations and our external regulatory partners.
Partner enablement
  • Produce the compliance data packages and guidance our partners rely on to launch products containing Quin technology.
Compliance by design
  • Partner with Engineering on design decisions so products are always conformant by architecture.

What good looks like

  • Our portfolio stays conformant and audit-ready across EU and US markets, with a clean, current set of technical files and declarations.
  • Regulatory deadlines are met ahead of time.
  • We maintain complete compliance packages that make integrating Quin frictionless.

What you'll bring

  • Proven ownership of product regulatory compliance for connected or electronic hardware — CE marking, Declarations of Conformity, and technical files.
  • Working command of the regulatory landscape for battery-powered connected devices: EU Batteries Regulation, e-waste / EPR regimes (e.g. California SB 1215), RED / FCC, RoHS / REACH.
  • A strong quality-management background — QMS ownership and supplier quality — in a hardware or product environment.
  • Experience coordinating testing, notified bodies and labs, and external regulatory partners.
  • The ability to translate regulation into concrete engineering and operational requirements, and to move fast without dropping rigor.

Strong pluses

  • Certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or recognised regulatory-affairs credentials.
  • Experience spanning consumer and industrial / PPE product categories.
  • Familiarity with EU authorised-representative structures and multi-market EPR registration.
  • Experience in a fast-scaling product company shipping into multiple regulated markets.

How we work

We're a fast-growing, high-ownership team. We hire people who use modern tools to move quickly and go deep, and we give them real autonomy and real accountability. You'll have the mandate to shape how quality and compliance run at Quin as we grow.

We look forward to meeting you!
