  • Provide coaching to operators as it relates to audits and training initiatives.
  • Participate on regular QMS Internal audits;
  • Assist and support the QA Technicians’ daily transformer testing/inspections and monitoring activities.
  • Meet regularly with all teams; participate in weekly Huddles, LOS, Financial reviews and the monthly QMR.

  • Knowledge of the product and plant operations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 series standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory (IEEE/ANSI & CSA Standards) and customer specifications.

  • A high level of experience with LEAN concepts considered an asset.
  • Experience in Industrios considered an asset.

Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada

Hours: Monday - Thursday (6:00 am to 4:30 pm)

Job Summary:

 The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and mentoring the QA Technicians testing and inspecting the product to assure it meets Cam Tran and CSA quality requirements. Ensures that all products and processes meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives. This role involves managing quality systems, conducting audits, analyzing defects, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production teams in problem-solving to achieve zero-defect manufacturing.

This position will also assist with the creation, revision and delivery of procedures and work instructions and support facilitation of training as needed by the Quality Manager.

Position Tasks:

Responsible for ensuring compliance in the following areas:

  • Adheres to Cam Tran Safety policies and procedures.

·       NCR creation and corrective actions.

  • Lead Customer and Supplier issues from NCR issuance through problem solving and effective closure.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis, prepare quality performance reports (scrap, rework, defect trends, KPI dashboards, all Quality Metrics).
  • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, FMEA, and control plans.
  • Perform transformer failure teardowns and root cause analysis for in-house failures / warranty returns.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to provide direction and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate work instructions and procedures to line operators to facilitate training.
  • Ability to read drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Well organized with a high level of time management skills.
  • Ability to utilize knowledge and experience to exercise discretion and judgement.
  • Able to work in a team environment

·       Quality Tools & Methods: Root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa), SPC, MSA, process capability studies

·       Auditing: Internal audits + experience working with or auditing suppliers

·       Experience with measurement devices, calibration, validation of first parts / sample approvals

Requirements
