Quality Technician (Material Review Board Technician) - Office Hours

The MRB Technician is responsible for the daily coordination, documentation, inventory control, and movement of nonconforming material within the Material Review Board (MRB) process. The role ensures all MRB material is properly identified, segregated, documented, traceable, and processed through final disposition in a timely manner and train team members on what is expected.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Maintain organization, identification, segregation, and control of all material within the MRB area.
• Create, process, and update NCRs in the applicable quality/ERP system.
• Verify NCR information including part number, quantity, serial/lot number, defect description, and material location.
• Track NCRs and MRB material from initial identification through final disposition and closure.
• Coordinate approved rework, inspection, scrap, supplier return/RMA, and inventory movements.
• Follow up with Quality, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams on pending actions.
• Monitor NCR aging and escalate overdue or blocked items.
• Maintain accurate MRB tracking data and support regular MRB review meetings.

YOU HAVE:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or associate degree, preferred.
• Manufacturing, quality, inspection, inventory, or material-control experience.
• Experience with ERP/QMS systems and NCR processing.
• Basic ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard computer applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
