What you'll do

  • Assist in utilizing the Sibelco Quality system at Sibelco facility.
  • Lead in ensuring that products and services meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Perform plant quality checks per Sibelco’s Quality Procedures.
  • Track quality performance, identify problem areas, takes action to contain any deficient material from leaving the facility and undertakes other actions to improve.
  • Assist with plant quality meetings and training of plant employees.
  • Update and maintain Quality records on a computer. Analyze data and produce reports, as requested.
  • Observe Production Line Workers’ actions to ensure sampling and testing are done correctly.
  • Perform and document in-process cullet sampling in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Conduct and document incoming and outgoing load inspections.
  • Work with the maintenance personnel to ensure equipment operates efficiently to optimize product quality.
  • Wear appropriate site-specific personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Understand and adhere to all company operating procedures and company safety policies.

Your Impact in This Role

As a Quality Testing Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
