R&D Program Manager

The R&D Program Manager’s primary job responsibilities will be owning and managing the Ga2O3 project and development leading to new product sales.

The Program Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the GOX government-funded program. This role ensures program compliance with federal regulations, contracts and sub-contracts; manages budgets and reporting requirements; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders; and drives continuous improvement for program efficiency and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilizing the R&D team manage the development of Ga2O3 single crystal growth processes and entire project to new product sales.
• Manage and develop the resources both internally and externally. Expanding and upskilling the team as we scale the project. Own the external funding contracts to support the project.
• Intellectual Property – Manage the process for developing IP, the decision process (filing/publication/trade secrets), cost control of patent portfolio.
• Demonstrated project leadership capabilities, and has shown the ability for driving projects through development.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are necessary for interface with internal team members, other operations within Luxium Solutions, and outside experts.  Ability to make presentations in front of large groups. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, science, or related technical field. Required
• Bachelor of Science in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science

• 3+ years direct experience managing team of engineers, scientists, and technicians
• Worked on government contracts, understand requirements, tracking of projects, etc.
• Experience with computer software is appropriate to an industrial R&D environment.  Must include experience with some (but not all) of the following: LabVIEW, 3D CAD (Solidworks, CREO, Inventor, etc.), and MS Office Suite, Minitab, or other related programs.
• Contract Law: Understand the fundamentals of contract law, including elements, capacity, contract types and implications.
• Familiarity with semiconducting materials, their use in electronics applications, and modular instrumentation with the ability to use these for materials testing and characterization.
• Advises manufacturing, engineering and sales on technical specifics.
• Proactive in analyzing and recommending solutions to problems.
