Location: The London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients, part of the London Bridge Hospital Campus, Central London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00
Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging team at The London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

The London Bridge Hospital campus in South East London encompasses an outpatients and diagnostic centre in The Shard; the large world-class hospital based at the Tooley Street site; Private Care at Guys, which is on the top four floors of Guy's Hospital Cancer Centre; and outpatient and diagnostic centres across the City and Canary Wharf.

As a Radiology Department Assistant, you will support our Imaging team across London Bridge Hospital and The Shard Outpatients, assisting with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures and services, including breast imaging, women's health, gynaecology and general ultrasound clinics. While you will gain exposure to a variety of specialties and procedures, the majority of your rotation will be within our busy Breast Clinics department, which operates between 08:00 and 20:00.

Working closely with Consultants, Radiographers and Nurses, you will assist during examinations and procedures, prepare and support patients throughout their visit, coordinate appointments and registrations using Meditech, utilise PACS, and undertake a range of administrative duties. This is a varied, patient-facing role requiring adaptability, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

What you’ll bring:

• Previous experience working as a Radiology Department Assistant within a hospital setting
• Experience supporting women's health and/or breast imaging
• NVQ Level 3, Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare qualification
