Raw Material Buyer

Job Title- Raw Material Buyer Procurement location - Kurla Mumbai Experience Required: 4 To 10 years in Procurement of chemicals and raw materials

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing RFQs/eAuctions based on plant purchase requisitions, negotiating bids, selecting suppliers, and maintaining SAP PIR.

·Based on plant material Purchase Requisitions (PR) from Supply Chain, prepare RFQs/eAuctions, invite suppliers to bid, negotiate based on most competitive bids/offers, and finalize supplier selection/volume allocation based on current sourcing strategy in accordance with procurement policies and in alignment with the sourcing lead/buyer/global director

·Participate in regular meetings with the sourcing lead/buyer/global director, Supply Chain, S&OP, any relevant stakeholders

·Participate in monthly forecasting exercise to share and update price forecasts of key raw materials based on latest market developments

·Participate in quarterly pricing reviews with procurement management & business to share latest updates of key raw materials on price trends, market information, shortage situations/material availability issues, etc

·Ensure supply continuity by proactively anticipating material shortage situations/material availability issues and working closely with business & Supply Chain to develop & implement short term/medium term actions

·Serve as an escalation point in case of supply delays, quality issues, documentation issues, etc and work closely with the relevant internal teams/external suppliers for successful resolution

·Maintain accurate SAP PIR (Purchase Info Record) based on selected supplier/material to enable Purchase Order issuance, maintain up-to-date supplier information in SAP to ensure correct information flows in to Purchase Orders

Experience Required: 4-10 years in Procurement of chemicals Raw-materials

Skillset: Data Analysis, Negotiation, Stakeholder Management, Supplier Relationship Management,Contract Management

Age: no specific requirement

In case we have a candidate with a solid Raw-material procurement experience, it could also be a candidate for permanent position. But it is not mandatory as the intend is to cover the daily tasks in an interim period.

In this case , we also need:

·Develop and implement sourcing strategies as per global sourcing strategy template in collaboration with category heads to meet business goals (improve competitiveness, ensure supply continuity and mitigating risk)

·Achieve key procurement targets (Savings, Sustainability, Projects)

·Support technical/business teams for new sourcing projects (New Product Development, Technology Transfer) and manage raw material qualification process for introduction of new raw materials/new sources

·Manage supplier performance evaluations and supplier contract lifecycle

·Organize supplier audits in collaboration with Supply Chain, HSE and QC teams

Collaborate with sustainability team to achieve annual sustainability targets.
