Reach Driver

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Reach Truck: The core task is to operate a reach truck, which is designed for narrow aisles and high stacking. 

• Loading and Unloading: Operators load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, and other storage areas. 

• Material Handling: Moving and organizing materials within the warehouse or distribution center. 

• Safety Compliance: Ensuring safe operation of the reach truck and adhering to all safety protocols. 

• Inventory Management: May be involved in tasks related to inventory control and organization. 

• Maintaining a Clean Workspace: Keeping the work area tidy and organized. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Reach Truck License: A valid license or certification to operate a reach truck is essential. 

• Experience: Previous experience operating a reach truck is often required or preferred. 

• Physical Fitness: The job can involve some physical labor, so a reasonable level of fitness is necessary. 

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are important for tasks like inventory management and safety compliance. 

• Teamwork: Working in a warehouse environment often requires good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Knowledge of Safety Procedures: Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and protocols is important.
