We are currently recruiting a Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join a major international law firm based in central Leeds, West Yorkshire. This hybrid working role offers an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a solid background in real estate finance to work within a highly regarded national banking practice. The successful candidate will have the chance to handle a diverse portfolio of domestic and international transactions, supporting a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, private equity firms, and development lenders. The Role

As a Real Estate Finance Solicitor, you will be an integral part of the wider banking team, supporting a highly regarded Partner. You will be involved in supporting complex real estate finance transactions, advising lenders and borrowers across multiple sectors. Your work will include drafting and negotiating LMA documentation, managing transaction timetables, and providing legal guidance on structuring deals, non-recourse financings, and cross-border financings. You will be expected to contribute to business development initiatives, participate in client meetings, and collaborate across various legal and practice teams. The position offers exposure to high-profile transactions and opportunities to develop your expertise in both domestic and international real estate finance markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting a broad range of real estate finance transactions involving major lenders and borrowers.
• Drafting and negotiating LMA documentation and transaction agreements.
• Managing transaction processes from inception to completion, including due diligence and legal structuring.
• Assisting with cross-border and complex domestic deals, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Engaging in business development activities such as client meetings, marketing events, and networking initiatives.
• Contributing to the knowledge base and training of colleagues within the team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have between 2-6 years of PQE and possess solid experience in real estate finance. You should be motivated by delivering excellent client service, eager to work collaboratively within a non-hierarchical environment, and interested in developing your career within a reputable and forward-thinking firm. Strong legal drafting skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to business development will be key to your success. Knowledge of cross-border transactions and a keen interest in international finance are advantageous but not essential.
