Overview:

Sentara Medical Group Comprehensive Weight Loss Kempsville Office is seeking to hire a Full-Time Referral Coordinator.

Position Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a - 430p, Dayshift. NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS!

Position Location: Norfolk VA

Overview

Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider.

Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

  • Health Insurance Plans 1 year experience required
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred
  • Knowledge of EPIC preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer
