What you'll do

  • Set the direction for the EMEA Costing organization and lead, mentor and develop team leaders, customer program managers and cost engineers.
  • Define the regional capability strategy, building the leadership, technical and consulting skills required for current delivery and future growth.
  • Own EMEA workforce planning, capacity allocation and portfolio priorities, resolving trade-offs and protecting customer and business commitments.
  • Govern opportunity qualification across EMEA, ensuring executive sponsorship, disciplined risk assessment and profitable, executable commitments.
  • Partner with Sales to shape complex opportunities, develop priority accounts and expand consulting-led propositions and strategic projects.
  • Define and execute the EMEA consulting roadmap, create repeatable offerings and establish effective governance for solution shaping, staffing, delivery and knowledge reuse.
  • Own regional delivery excellence across scope, milestones, budget and quality, and personally lead critical project and client escalations.
  • Act as executive sponsor for complex consulting engagements and as a trusted advisor to senior clients on cost competitiveness, value engineering, benchmarking, sourcing and product optimization.
  • Own the EMEA Costing P&L, resource forecasts, providing global leadership with transparent risks and corrective actions.
  • Bring client and market feedback into global methodology, product and innovation development and share successful regional practices across the organization.

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in an automotive, cost-engineering, engineering-services or consulting environment.
  • At least five years of successful leadership of a regional or multi-country function, including portfolio, P&L and executive client accountability and leadership of 10 or more people.
  • A strong record of sponsoring and governing complex projects from solution shaping through delivery, including quality oversight, risk recovery and senior stakeholder management.
  • Executive presence and credibility to advise and challenge senior clients, chair steering committees and navigate difficult commercial and delivery decisions.
  • Broad understanding of automotive technologies and strong interest across powertrain, electronics, exterior, battery and interior domains.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, familiarity with project management tools & AI usage

We are looking for a Director Costing & Consulting EMEA (m/f/d) to lead our regional Costing organization and build consulting as a strategic growth capability. Based in Munich, you will hold executive accountability for the EMEA client-project portfolio from acquisition through post-delivery, including quality, delivery predictability, capacity and P&L. You will lead team leaders, customer program managers and cost engineers, advise senior clients and work closely with Sales and global functions to turn market needs into scalable, differentiated offerings.
