Position: Regional Optometrist 

Location: South Wales | With 1–2 weeks of travel and overnight stays across Wales each month

Accommodation and meal expenses provided for stay away weeks

Salary: Up to £69,000 

Commission: Paid Monthly 

Company Car - for business and personal use

Days: 4 or 5 days a week (No weekends)

A role that lets you explore Wales

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist who enjoys variety and travelling to different locations. You’ll typically spend 2–3 weeks each month working locally, covering patients within around a 50-mile radius of your home in South Wales, with the remaining 1–2 weeks spent travelling to other areas of Wales. When you’re working away from home, we’ll take care of your accommodation, all business travel expenses and meal allowances.

We're on the lookout for an optometrist in South Wales who wants to help us achieve our mission of changing people's lives through clinically excellent eye care.

This is an important hire for us as we have a waiting list of patients in the area who are eager to get access to our trusted at-home service.

We're a flexible employer, and you can choose the number of days you work to fit around family and other commitments - plus we never work weekends!

Equipment:

All of our Optometrists are provided with a full equipment kit, along with comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident before working independently. You can view our equipment in action here Equipment Video

You will:

• Help around 6-7 patients every day, visiting them in their own homes. Our appointments are longer than you’d get on the high street (1 hr), allowing you time to form better relationships with your patients and deliver gold-standard customer care.

• Be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your expertise. Although you'll never be on your own as you can get support or a second opinion in minutes from our senior optometrist team at head office.

• Use the very latest equipment, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer and our industry-leading digital records system, which means no paperwork.

• Be supported with your CPD. We'll invest in you and give you the time to complete exams if required.
