A friendly, independently owned small animal practice in Harpenden Hertfordshire is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a strong and experienced clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse looking for flexibility, a caring workplace culture, and excellent work-life balance without out-of-hours or on-call commitments.

Compensation & Benefits

• £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience

Role Overview

The Registered Veterinary Nurse will support day-to-day clinical duties within a busy first-opinion practice, delivering high standards of patient care and assisting with a variety of medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures.

Clinical Facilities & Equipment

The practice is well equipped with modern diagnostics and in-house testing, including:

• Digital X-ray

• Ultrasound

• ECG

• Blood pressure monitoring

• In-house laboratory testing

• Blood and urine analysis

• Microscopy

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients

• Assist with consultations and surgical procedures

• Monitor anaesthesia and inpatient care

• Perform laboratory and diagnostic testing

• Maintain excellent hygiene and clinical standards

• Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients

• Work collaboratively within a supportive team

Working Hours & Schedule

• Full-time or part-time considered

• Flexible scheduling available

• 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

• No OOH or on-call requirements

Candidate Requirements

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

• Strong clinical and communication skills

• Friendly, team-oriented approach
