About Site:
Site Sayakha, a greenfield facility located in Sayakha, District Bharuch, Gujarat State, India, inaugurated in February 2024, is Perstorp’s latest state of the art production plant. This is the first major investment in India by Perstorp, and the site is spread out over approximately 28 acres of land. The plant produces Penta which has a vast range of application areas, being an essential building block for coatings, as well synthetic lubricants, and antioxidants.
Our new plant solidifies and strengthens our long-term position and presence in the growth region of Asia. It also reinforces our ability to meet growing demand, particularly in Asian markets.

Job Title: Manager / Sr. Manager – Reliability Maintenance
Reporting to: Maintenance Head, Sayakha
Main Function: The primary goal is to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance costs by applying engineering principles to the entire lifecycle of an asset. This includes designing for reliability, implementing proactive maintenance strategies, and performing deep-dive failure analysis. The purpose of position is to deep dive and support for Operation Units Pentaerythritol Plant and Utility units with help of the RCM- Reliability Centric maintenance practices.
Role: The role is responsible to
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using reliability and condition-based maintenance approaches.
• Analyse equipment performance data, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with production, maintenance, vendors, and suppliers for improvements.
• Conduct failure analysis, implement corrective actions, maintain equipment history, and strengthen in-house troubleshooting capabilities.
• Drive asset reliability through risk-based maintenance, lifecycle management, and continuous monitoring of KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Provide technical support for repair, maintenance, RCA, engineering modifications, and cost estimation for projects.
• Standardize maintenance procedures and implement lessons learned across operations. • Build team capability through skill assessments, training programs, coaching, and mentoring.
• Manage vendor evaluation and development to improve cost, quality, performance, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, certification, and inspection requirements for plant operations.
Required Knowledge base and experience:
• BE/B. Tech Mechanical Engineer from a Reputed Institution, ME /M. Tech in Mechanical engineering.
• Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) will be preferred.
• 15-20 years of experience in continuous, Batch process as Reliability engineer in the plant preferably in a chemical or refinery plant. Out of that more than >7 years’ experience in the Process engineer in the same position.
• Strong proficiency in Dupont -PSM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of field operations. SAP MM experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement process improvement from concept through project completion (project management skills). • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Weibull analysis, Minitab, or ReliaSoft).
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like SAP.
• Effectively communicate both orally and through written text. • Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents including PFD's and P&ID's, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL report etc.
• Ability to use all channels of communication (i.e. read/write/speak/hear). • Comply and pass site regulations for PPE and clearances.
