Reporter - Part-Time

News Reporter (PT)

Fox31 and KWGN Colorado’s Very Own Channel 2 are looking for a Reporter to join our team to deliver breaking news and original content across our connected TV app, website, social platforms and television.

The ideal candidate has multiple skills and experiences that prepare them for hosting and producing daily news streaming programs; writing and editing news content; and producing digital elements and features and as needed.

We are looking for a candidate who is connected with sources and breaks news on a regular basis. Strong candidate should have memorable, energetic and creative delivery.

• Responsibilities:

• Produce and anchor breaking news, active weather and live event coverage using video, graphics sound and guest interviews.
• Identify livestream opportunities.
• Create original daily reports for KDVR.com, social media and streaming platforms.
• Strong on-air presence
• Deliver news stories in a clear and concise manner
• Shoot, write and edit news reports
• Respond to breaking news as required

• Requirements:

• Knowledge of social storytelling techniques
• Knowledge of editing – Adobe Premier
• Producing knowledge and experience.
• College degree
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum four years of experience in news producing and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  Pay Range: $34/hr to $38/hr, Based on Experience
