Your new company
As Research Officer, you will join a professional team at one of Ireland’s most reputable independent statutory authorities within Health & Social Care. Your new office is located in Dublin and is easily accessible via public transport. Your new company requires you to join their team for 6 months with a view to an extension. You will have a hybrid work model, 1–2 days in the office.
Your new role
As Research Officer, you will join their Health Information Standards team who are responsible for setting national standards to support the exchange of health and social care information and developing tools to support the implementation of these standards.
This role encompasses research, stakeholder engagement, administration, operations and coordination of team activities. You will play a key role in supporting operational, analytical and reporting functions of the team, ensuring tasks are achieved in a timely and professional manner.

What you'll need to succeed
To become Research Officer, you will ideally have a degree qualification within a health, social care or health-related discipline. An additional post-graduate qualification in a specialist area relevant to the role, e.g. health related science, public health, health services research, health services management, evidence-based healthcare, implementation science, healthcare quality, quality improvement, health psychology, public policy, learning technology, informatics, information science, health information, digital technology, computer science is desirable but not essential.
You will have a minimum of 6 months post-graduate experience with practical experience in undertaking research, including literature reviews and evidence synthesis. Experience in writing, reviewing, editing and proofing documents and reports for a variety of audiences is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with the ability to meet tight project deadlines is required.
With clear and relevant examples of your career achievements within a similar research environment with proficient administrative, research and stakeholder management skills, you will be a very strong candidate for this role.
