Job Description

Technical Communication & Relationship Management

• Bridge Communication: Act as the primary, daily technical communications partner between Bosch Reutlingen and Philippine OSAT partners.

• Multilevel Engagement: Build and maintain deep technical and professional relationships across all subcontractor organizational levels, from line operators to executive management.

• Action Alignment: Verify that all technical requests and directives issued by Bosch are fully understood, accurately implemented, and tracked to completion by the supplier.

Advanced Quality Engineering & Auditing

• Line Audits: Perform rigorous audits and Process Confirmation Checks to ensure production lines strictly comply with Bosch requirements, specifically covering Customer Process Flow, Process Control Plans, Machine Qualification, SPC, Machine Logbooks, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs).

• Material Control: Provide rapid support and frequent updates on any "Lots on Hold," non-conforming/suspect materials, or lots deviating from Target Yields and Alarm Limits to expedite safe material release.

• Failure Analysis & 8D Tracking: Actively monitor customer returns, analyze failure root causes, and track the progress of Material Review Boards (MRBs) and 8D reports. Ensure containment and permanent corrective actions are implemented effectively.

• Continuous Improvement: Champion the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) for both Bosch and the subcontractor, contributing to localized engineering and quality optimization teams.

Manufacturing & Process Engineering

• Change Management: Closely monitor process, line, equipment, or facility modifications in accordance with the Bosch "General Specification for Packaging" document.

• NPI & Ramp-up: Partner with local R&D departments on new leadframes and packages, providing hands-on technical support to ensure successful high-volume production ramp-ups.

• Project Coordination: Direct and coordinate localized projects initiated by ME/MFX, including strategic yield-improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Supplier Network: Maintain a regional network of materials and tooling suppliers to support subcontractor supply chain health.

4. Logistics, Delivery & Performance Optimization

• Resolve Constraints: Supply prompt technical troubleshooting when capacity bottlenecks or equipment constraints threaten delivery schedules.

• Prototype/Engineering Lot Tracking: Monitor and expedite the progress of qualification and engineering lots, reporting real-time status to Bosch to minimize throughput and cycle times.

• Performance KPI Ownership: Drive and track key manufacturing metrics. You are directly accountable for Yield, Incoming Quality, and Product Reliability on assigned Bosch production lines at Amkor.

• Data Retrieval: Systematically collect, verify, and escalate quality performance reports (such as Yield curves, Cpk capability indices, and MRB trends) directly to ME/MFX.

5. General Auditing, Visits & Risk Mitigation

• Audit & Visit Support: Coordinate and host third-party customer audits, internal Bosch audits, and visits at subcontractor sites. Extend technical support to other regional suppliers during audits as required.

• Business Continuity & Risk Alerting: Provide immediate, proactive management updates regarding regional events or operational changes that could threaten Bosch’s business continuity (e.g., labor strikes, environmental incidents, logistics/airport closures, key organizational changes).

• Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as an on-site subject matter expert (SME) to help subcontractors solve complex engineering problems quickly and reliably.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.

Experience: 5+ years of robust hands-on experience in semiconductor assembly, testing, or packaging engineering within an OSAT or multinational electronics manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor packaging, materials, and tooling.

• Expert-level understanding of quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving, Cpk analysis, and MSA.

• Familiarity with automotive-grade quality standards (IATF 16949, AEC-Q100) is highly advantageous.

Soft Skills & Competencies:

• Interpersonal Influence: Ability to assert Bosch’s interests and standards at subcontractor facilities while maintaining highly collaborative, constructive working relationships.

• Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills for rapid, data-driven technical problem-solving on the factory floor.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable presenting critical risk reports directly to regional management and engineering leads in Germany.
