Why This Respiratory Therapist Role Is Different

This role provides exposure to two connected branches (Nashville and Clarksville), offering diverse patient care while maintaining structured scheduling and manageable travel. This position offers a consistent daytime schedule within a supportive team environment, manageable travel, and reimbursement for mileage, parking, and tolls.

Key Highlights

• Work Arrangement: On-site

• Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Distance: ~15 miles typical, 50 miles max.

Salary range

• $37 – $39 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

On-Call transparency

• Rotation every other week.

What you’ll do

• Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups

• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance

• Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately

• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs

• Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams

• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop

• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation

• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition

• Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs

• Performs other duties as required

What we look for

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active TN RT license. KY License preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.

• Valid driver's license

• Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations

• Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy

• Hold a current CPR Certification

• Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice
