Job Description : 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Renders professional respiratory care services in the treatment and care of patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room and transport setting. (40%)

  • Performs ongoing respiratory assessments and reassessments and plan of care development. (30%)

  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills. (15%)

  • Participate in department projects, teamwork and continuing education. (15%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.

  • Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). 

Preferred

  • Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT.

  • Two  years’ experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.

Additional Employment Requirements:

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
