SCOPE OF THE POSITION
The Retail Inside Sales Representative supports the Retail Sales team by conducting outbound calls and retailer outreach across Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. This role is focused on building relationships with grocery retailers, communicating promotions and new product opportunities, gathering marketplace intelligence, and supporting the execution of retail sales initiatives.  This position is ideal for a highly organized, bilingual (English/French) sales professional with experience working in the grocery retail industry who enjoys relationship building and telephone-based sales support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound calls to grocery retailers across Canada to support retail sales initiatives.
  • Promote new products, retailer programs, and promotional opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities for Retail Account Managers.
  • Maintain regular contact with independent and banner grocery retailers.
  • Support product listing opportunities and retailer follow-up activities.
  • Gather customer feedback and marketplace intelligence and communicate findings to the Retail Team.
  • Maintain accurate records of retailer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities within CRM systems.
  • Work closely with Retail Account Managers and Client Managers to support sales priorities and client objectives.
  • Assist with special projects, retailer surveys, and other sales support initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bilingual in English and French (required).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with grocery retailers, food manufacturers, distributors, or food brokerage organizations.
  • Previous experience in inside sales, retail sales support, customer service, or account coordination.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience using CRM systems is considered an asset.
