About this role
Squishable is a close-knit team of designers, artists, pop-culture fanatics, and lovers of all things adorable. Together we create the cutest, cuddliest (and sometimes downright unusual) plush and lifestyle products in the world. With the millions-strong Squishable fan community cheering us on (and a lot of cupcakes, coffee, and karaoke) we make people say “awww.” Our offices are in a sunny SoHo loft in NYC and in downtown Washington, DC.
WHO ARE WE?
We are Squishable! Products and people are at the core of why we do what we do every day — and our stores run on a stock room that works. Product where it should be, on the floor when customers want it, and a back-of-house the sales team can rely on. The Stock Lead is the person who makes that happen.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, methodical, and comfortable working independently at pace. They take ownership of the back of house, communicate clearly with the sales team and the Store Manager, and keep replenishment moving through the busiest days of the year.
What does a Stock Lead do?
The Stock Lead is responsible for a clean, organized stock room and supports the sales floor by making sure effective replenishment practices are in place. The Stock Lead’s responsibilities include:
- Supporting the team with all back-of-house functions
- Ensuring products are easy to locate, neat, and organized at all times
- Planning and scheduling all incoming and outbound shipments
- Performing opening and closing duties as assigned
- Adhering to all company policies, practices, and safety standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail experience preferred
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong time-management skills and strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods
- Must be 18 or older
Compensation
Pay rate is $17.50 per hour
