What you'll do
- Monitors and documents patient behavior, progress, and responses to treatment.
- Administers prescribed medications, including psychotropic medications, changes bandages, and notes patient reactions in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Assists patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Takes and records vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate).
- Conducts focused patient assessments, collects data, and documents it in patient charts for the supervising nurses, physicians.
- Works with other staff, such as psychiatrists, to help implement treatment plans.
- Facilitates group therapy sessions or recreational activities.
- Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Midland, Texas
The behavioral health RN provides direct patient care, administers medications, monitors vital signs, and performs basic patient assessments under the supervision of the Nursing Managers. They also help with patient education, assist with daily activities, and document patient data to support treatment planning for individuals with mental and substance use disorders.
Job duties and responsibilities:
