SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – POLYURETHANE TECHNICAL SALES

REPORTING TO: Global Business Manager
LOCATION: Staines UK or Mechelen Belgium (Open to candidates in Europe)
SALARY: Depends on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To develop new business through effective penetration, technical promotion, and service to new and existing customers. The role supports the achievement of revenue targets and manages relationships with new and existing suppliers in the Urethane Intermediates business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business through research and development of assigned customers, prospective customers, applications, and territories.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of assigned customers’ business needs to identify development opportunities.
  • Attend scheduled sales/operating meetings to discuss new sales opportunities, financial sales results, and future sales objectives.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, developments, and competitive activities to ensure the business remains progressive.
  • Manage assigned customers’ accounts receivables, avoiding bad debts by working with the finance department.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Achieve all agreed personal targets for appointments, research calls, and revenue from assigned customers and new business.
  • Develop structured account management plans to support customer growth and development.
  • Work with the agreed pricing strategy to exceed target prices, achieving optimal price and margin.
  • Produce necessary reports, including customer & supplier visit reports, with clear recommendations and actions.
  • Periodically prepare and support market assessments and strategic plans.
