About this role
Proximie is on a mission to improve healthcare by transforming the world’s operating rooms into connected ecosystems of people, devices, and data.
Our Intelligence Suite transforms operating room (OR) performance, keeping teams in sync and workflows on track to maximise throughput. Simultaneously our computer vision and AI capabilities capture real-time data and detect surgical events – improving quality of data outputs. The result: ORs are optimised like never before – with predictive analytics and automated notifications ensuring patients and staff are in the right place at the right time.
Once practitioners are in the OR, our Surgical Suite enables real-time remote access and creates a secure video record of every procedure; improving training, education, and collaboration. It is an intuitive asset which helps instil a culture of continuous learning, accelerates the adoption of cutting-edge medical devices, and enhances surgical performance across the entire global workforce – improving outcomes and saving lives.
Proximie was commercialised in 2019 and is available in over 500 facilities globally.

Position Overview
Proximie is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our commercial team and our engineering and product organizations. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role for someone who thrives on translating complex technical concepts into clear, confident conversations. This role will be critical to Proximie’s growth in the US market, supporting the commercial team as we respond to RFPs, navigate complex enterprise sales cycles, and onboard new health system partners.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical resource during the sales cycle, joining commercial conversations to address deep product, software, networking, and integration questions.
Lead technical discovery conversations with hospital IT, innovation teams, and procurement stakeholders covering topics such as SSO configuration, network requirements, hardware setup, cloud architecture, and data flow.
Translate customer requirements into clearly scoped questions or change requests for engineering and product teams.
Build and maintain a strong partnership with Engineering, serving as the connective tissue between field insights and internal technical teams to ensure customer needs are understood, prioritized, and addressed effectively.
Troubleshoot integration and configuration issues in the field, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
Proactively identify recurring technical friction points across deals and escalate patterns to product and engineering to inform the roadmap.
Support the onboarding of new health system customers by bridging the handoff between sales and implementation.
Maintain clear documentation of technical configurations, customer environments, and common integration patterns.
Requirements
5+ years in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role, ideally in a SaaS or health tech environment.
Strong foundational knowledge of networking and infrastructure, including hospital or clinical network environments (VLANs, firewalls, SSO/SAML, Active Directory).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and how cloud-based software integrates with on-premises hospital systems.
Ability to get into a system, understand what is happening, and fix what is configurable — you do not need to be a developer, but you need to be comfortable at the configuration and troubleshooting layer.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you will be speaking with innovation leaders, IT directors, and C-suite stakeholders.
Strong judgment: you know when to say yes, when to say not yet, and how to position both in a way that builds trust.
Experience working in fast-moving, commercial environments where deals are complex and timelines are tight.
Comfortable operating without a playbook; you can figure out what questions to ask and find a path forward in ambiguous situations
Nice to Have
Experience supporting sales in a healthcare or medtech environment.
Familiarity with surgical workflows, clinical documentation, or OR technology.
Background working with enterprise IT procurement and RFP processes.
Existing relationships within hospital innovation, IT, or digital health teams.
