Salesforce Developer & Administrator, Amazon Business India

The Amazon Business India Salesforce Team is looking for a smart, motivated, and hands-on Salesforce Developer & Administrator to own and operate our shared production Salesforce instance supporting 500+ internal and external users. This is a hybrid role that combines technical Salesforce development (Apex, integrations, Lightning) with platform administration (configuration, user management, data quality). You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, new feature delivery, integrations with internal tools and AWS services, and ensuring a smooth experience for business teams across Sales, Operations, and Customer Advisory.
You will use your business judgement and technical experience to design and build compelling solutions for hundreds of internal customers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Key job responsibilities
Administration
• Manage configuration of Salesforce features including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, Flows, and Process Builders.
• Own platform hygiene: environment refresh, notification announcements, AppExchange product management, and systems maintenance.
• Manage Salesforce support requests and escalated administrative needs — provide prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders on major project roll-outs, including training and troubleshooting for end-users.
• Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce in innovative ways to improve business processes and increase productivity.
Development
• Design and develop Apex classes, triggers, and batch jobs to support complex business logic.
• Build and maintain Lightning Components and Visualforce pages for custom user interfaces.
• Develop and manage integrations with internal tools and AWS services using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Write and optimize SOQL/SOSL queries for reporting and data operations.
• Implement JavaScript and Python scripts for automation and tooling.
• Maintain version control (Git) and follow release management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and SSL.
• Design and implement MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations to connect Salesforce with AWS, Retail, and Ads platforms — enabling AI-powered workflows across multi-cloud ecosystems.
• Build and manage Einstein AI Copilot (EAC) configurations, prompt templates, and agent actions to enhance user productivity within Salesforce.
• Design, build, and maintain data models and data pipelines for Salesforce — including ETL/ELT processes, data lake integrations, and real-time sync with external systems.
Cross-Cutting
• Partner with system product owners to deliver tailored solutions that support business requirements and drive tangible business value.
• Document root cause analysis steps, findings, and recommended solutions for recurring issues.
• Consult with stakeholders on application performance, scalability, and usability.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language
- Experience working with Git or an equivalent distributed version control system
- Experience in AWS services
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Must have managed a Salesforce instance of 500+ users
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations or similar AI/LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and data management within Salesforce ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Platform Developer I / II.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Cross-functional team collaboration and stakeholder management experience.
- Data migration and release management experience.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Einstein AI Copilot (EAC), Agentforce, or similar AI-native Salesforce features.
