I’m working with an established property maintenance business looking to add a Scheduler / Repairs Planner to its operational team.

This is a busy office based position where you’ll be responsible for organising works, booking appointments and helping keep day to day maintenance activity running smoothly.

You’ll spend a lot of your time speaking with residents, operatives and internal teams, so this would suit somebody who is comfortable on the phone, organised and able to keep on top of a changing workload.

Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance, construction or a similar service led environment would be ideal, although the most important thing is that you are confident dealing with people and can stay organised when things get busy.

What you’ll be doing

• Booking repair and maintenance appointments
• Scheduling operatives and coordinating daily workloads
• Speaking with tenants and residents over the phone
• Rearranging appointments when priorities change
• Updating job information and keeping records accurate
• Liaising with engineers, tradespeople and operational teams
• Helping resolve scheduling clashes and missed appointments
• Supporting urgent and reactive works
• Keeping customers updated on appointment times and changes
• General coordination and administration around live jobs

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have experience in one of the following areas:

• Social housing
• Property maintenance
• Repairs and maintenance
• Construction
• Facilities management
• Scheduling or planning
• Customer service within a busy operational environment
• Confident speaking to customers and residents
• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls
• Well organised
• Able to prioritise competing jobs
• Comfortable using computer systems and keeping records updated
• Calm when plans change at short notice
• A good team player
• Happy working full time from the office

Previous experience as a Scheduler, Planner, Repairs Planner, Works Coordinator, Maintenance Coordinator or similar would be useful

The opportunity

This would suit somebody looking for a stable, permanent role within a busy property maintenance environment.

You’ll be joining an established operational team and will have the opportunity to build experience across scheduling, repairs coordination and customer service.

This is a fully office based position, so applicants must be comfortable commuting into Surrey on a full time basis.
