About this role
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer (SDE 1) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java and a passion for building scalable and high-quality applications. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain backend services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices
- Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs
- Work with databases and ensure optimal performance of queries
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Java (Core Java, OOP concepts)
- Basic understanding of Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Understanding of Git version control
- Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
