Summary:

The San Diego Union-Tribune is seeking a resourceful, thoughtful, and diligent editor to help plan, orchestrate, edit, and oversee print sections of the daily paper, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and fairness under deadline pressure. The ideal candidate will have superior news judgment, strong editing and writing skills, a commitment to collaboration, and a deep interest in journalism that engages with and reflects local communities.

Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in San Diego, CA.

Benefits and Compensation:

The hourly range is $33.80 - $38.15 + cell phone stipend. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
