Sector Lead - Land and Water

We are seeking a Sector Lead to build and lead a new, integrated Land and Water capability within Peritas. This role will be a key part of the Civil Leadership Team and will be responsible for establishing our combined land development and water offering, growing client relationships across both sectors, and developing team capability across two distinct but complementary areas: land development (subdivision, industrial and commercial projects) and water (major water supply and wastewater infrastructure).

The successful candidate will play a leading role in building a new, high-performing Land and Water team from the ground up, expanding our market presence across both sectors, establishing delivery systems and supporting the broader business strategy. This position is suited to an experienced engineering leader with strong technical capability spanning land development and or water infrastructure, commercial awareness, established industry relationships and the drive to build a new team and expanded service offering.

The role will focus on:

• Leading the delivery of land and water infrastructure projects.

• Managing key client relationships and identifying new opportunities across both sectors.

• Supporting business development, proposals and fee submissions.

• Providing technical guidance across land (roads, drainage, earthworks, subdivision and staging) and water (water supply, wastewater treatment and conveyance, pump stations and trunk infrastructure).

• Managing project performance, including scope, fees, program, quality and risk.

• Mentoring and developing engineers.

• Recruiting, resourcing and building a new team from the ground up.

• Establishing delivery systems, standards and project consistency across the combined sector.

• Working with other discipline and sector leads to support integrated project delivery.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Minimum 15 Years Experience in Civil Infrastructure/Land Development/Waste and Wastewater Infrastructure

• Existing strong client relationships across land development and/or water sectors

• Experience managing large projects

• Experience building, growing or managing a team

• Desire to create an innovative, high performing team from the ground up

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. water or environmental engineering), or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Chartered Professional Engineer status, or eligibility to obtain, would be highly regarded.

• Registered Professional Engineer status, where applicable, would be highly regarded.

• Project management, leadership or business qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
