Armour Security & Protection Services Corporation (ASPS) is one of the fastest-growing security companies in British Columbia, offering a wide range of security services, including Security Guard Services, Mobile Patrol, Event Security, and more. We are currently looking for AST-certified Security Guards to join our team for long-term, permanent positions in the Lower Mainland. Requirements Job Description: Lawful and Ethical Conduct: Act lawfully and with honesty and integrity. Treat everyone with courtesy, equality, and without discrimination. Perform duties with a commitment to protecting store customers, employees, and assets. Licensing and Identification: Always carry a valid security worker's license while on duty. Punctuality and Appearance: Arrive on time, in uniform, and neatly dressed. Surveillance and Theft Prevention: Be vigilant for theft and assist store employees by creating a deterrent to theft through presence and apprehension of shoplifters. Arrest and Use of Force: Ensure arrests comply with the Criminal Code of Canada (Sections 494, 25 & 26). Pursuit of Suspects: Pursue shoplifters safely and only on foot. Do not engage in unsafe actions such as vehicular pursuits. Incident Reporting: Report all criminal incidents to store management and submit detailed reports before the end of your shift. Interaction with Customers and Employees: Limit conversations to necessary interactions and do not use personal electronic devices except in emergencies. Shift Protocols: Report to store management at the beginning of each shift and sign the security log. Requirements: License: Valid Security Worker’s License. Certification: Current basic Security Training (BST) certificate Experience: At least 1 year of AST experience (required). Skills: Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skill Benefits Benefits: Pay: $18.00 per hour. Dental care. Extended health care. Flexible schedule. Schedule: 8-hour shifts.
